Trenvilo · Picture & sound matching

Privacy Policy

Effective: October 27, 2026
Last updated: October 28, 2026

In one sentence: Trenvilo works without registration and keeps your content on your device by default. If you choose Private cloud copy, the app uses a device-specific identity to save a private structured snapshot for recovery; photos and recordings remain on your device unless a separate media upload is clearly offered and you choose it.

1. Scope and operator

This policy explains how the Trenvilo iPhone app handles information. Trenvilo is a private picture-and-sound matching game that helps you build pairs, take turns with family or friends on one phone, keep short journal notes, and export backups when you choose. This policy covers the app and its support pages. It does not cover Apple's own services or any external destination you pick when exporting or sharing.

Core features work without registration or internet access. Trenvilo does not provide public profiles, an online community, or real-time multiplayer, and it contains no ads or third-party analytics. An optional Private cloud copy can save and restore a private structured snapshot linked to a device-specific identity.

2. Information you add

You can create decks with a title, pair relationships, card labels, copies of selected photos, your own words, optional player names, and recordings you explicitly confirm keeping. A round may keep the deck version used, the hidden layout, move count, match events, undo markers, and completion state.

The nickname and avatar you choose for display in the app are stored with your preferences in app storage. Text alternatives for sounds are written by you and are not automatic transcriptions. The app does not ask for your real name, contacts, precise location, face templates, or voiceprints. Please avoid putting unnecessary sensitive information or other people's recordings into decks.

3. How information is used

Your content is used to create, preview, play, and export decks; to resume a round and correct actions without double-counting; and to support journal notes, the daily warm-up, and backups you request. Whether two cards match is determined by the pair identifier the author assigned.

The app does not infer identity, the meaning of a recording, or health traits. Deck and round content is not used for advertising, face analysis, or profiling, and is not sold to anyone.

4. Device permissions and choices

Camera: requested only when you choose to take a picture for a card. You can preview and cancel before saving, or use text or existing media instead.

Photos: access is limited to what you grant, including limited selection. You decide which pictures are copied onto cards; saving a confirmed card is a separate action and can use add-only access. If access is denied, you can still use word cards, media you already have permission to use, and export through Files.

Microphone: requested only when you choose to record a sound or spoken cue as card content. Recording is visible, can be stopped and replayed, and a clip is kept only after you confirm. Text can be used instead. The app does not record in the background or transcribe automatically.

You can change permissions in iPhone Settings > Trenvilo. Playing an existing recording does not require granting recording permission again.

5. Storage, access, and security

Decks, confirmed media, round records, journal notes, preferences, and game progress are stored in the app's own storage on your device and protected by iOS and device access controls. When you tap Private cloud copy, Trenvilo sends a private structured snapshot—such as profile text, deck definitions, rounds, journal entries, preferences, and media references—to the service backend for recovery. The stable device identity is stored in Keychain and the private snapshot is available only to that identity. Binary avatar data is excluded from the structured snapshot. Device access controls and your backup settings affect who can reach local copies. No system can promise absolute security.

Backups you keep in Files, pictures saved to Photos, or system device backups may be handled by those destinations or device services under their own settings and policies.

6. Sharing and other providers

The app has no public feed or stranger chat. You may choose specific decks and media to export or share, and you may manually request a private cloud copy. Previews should show what will leave the app. A deck package may reveal every pair to the recipient, so review it before sharing. A picture sheet is not accompanied by audio merely because a deck contains recordings.

Get consent before including another person's photo or voice. We do not sell personal data. Any new external processing will be described separately and will follow the relevant permission or choice.

7. Retention, correction, and deletion

You decide how long to keep decks, media, and rounds, and you can delete or reset items in the app. Deleting media that a round relies on may affect older rounds; the app should show the gap rather than invent a successful match. Cancelling an unconfirmed capture discards the temporary file.

Uninstalling the app or using in-app deletion does not remove copies a recipient already has or backups you saved elsewhere. Keep any copies you need before deleting data or uninstalling.

8. Your controls and privacy requests

Controls include viewing and editing decks, removing selected media, deleting a round or an entire deck, choosing what to export, and limiting or denying permissions. Where applicable law gives you additional rights of access, correction, deletion, objection, or complaint, you can visit the Trenvilo Support Center.

Support staff do not need your private media to answer a question. A private structured snapshot may exist when you choose Private cloud copy, but support will not ask you to provide photos, recordings, tokens, or snapshot contents just to request help.

9. Audience and policy changes

Trenvilo is intended for adults who know one another and take part willingly. It is not directed to children and is not a clinical assessment or cognitive test. Do not add identifiable images or voices of others without an appropriate basis. Scores describe valid game matches only and cannot be used to prove intelligence, memory health, or personal worth.

We may update this policy when features or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where needed. Product implementation, store privacy disclosures, and this policy should stay consistent.
